Roast the nuts in a skillet for about 5-10 minutes. Be careful not to burn them.
”Rub” the nuts in a kitchen towel to remove most of the skins.
Pour the nuts in a mixer / blender and blend for about 10 minutes. It will seem like an eternity and you have to scrape the crumbs down several times, but eventually there will be nutbutter.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix with an ordinary electric mixer. Add water a little at a time, you may not need it all. Continue to mix until you have the consistency you want.
